I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to be a colleague and a friend of James Lehmann for many years. His loss will be felt for many years to come. There is no doubt that education lost a dedicated advocate for school equity and a champion for student rights. I had the privilege to witness a great man and educator in action. May God bless and give you, Angeles and your family, the strength and the courage to accept the will of the Lord.

I remember him when he was part of the UIL Committee representing Weslaco ISD, great person who truly loved kids!

Dearest Angie and Family, there aren't enough words to fill the hole in your heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Butch was a wonderful, caring and loving person. He was "one of a kind" of person and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, is a richer person. Fly high my friend - soar with the Eagles.

So very sad to hear that James has passed. He was an incredible individual with a genial nature who was always a delight to be around. My thoughts are with his family who he loved so much and was so proud of.
