James 'Jim' Alden Leonard Sr., 77
WESTBROOK -- James 'Jim' Alden Leonard Sr., 77, of Portland, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, peacefully in his sleep, with his family by his side after a long battle with Dementia. He was the husband of the late Mary L. (Fuller) Leonard, to whom he was wed for 46 years and who passed in 1996.
Jim was born on May 1, 1936, in Camden, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Surette) Leonard, and grew up in Vasselboro.
He married Mary Louise Fuller in 1967. Jim was employed by Maine Cement Industries for 18 years and the Portland News Company for over 20 years.
He enjoyed doing yard work as well as anything that kept him outdoors and busy.
Jim is survived by his two sons, James 'Jimmy' Leonard Jr. and his partner Howard Young Jr. and Troy Leonard and his wife Tracy, as well as his two daughters, Debbie Pascucci and her husband John 'Scooch' and Linda Brackett. He also leaves seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as two sisters, Mary and Gail and a brother, Martin.
He will be sadly missed by all.
