We saw so many people come and go from Paxton Ministries over the years, but there was only one Jim Lilley! I recall a conversation I had with him several months ago. He was sitting in his regular seat by the window in the dining room. We sat for a while in silence, then he began to speak. Our conversation went in several directions, but the statement that I recall most vividly was when he assured me that Jesus was in his heart. Jim was a friend to so many and everyone that knew him was...

As a live-in staff member at Paxton Ministries, I had the privilege of getting to know Jim over the years. He was a very special part of our community. He had a great sense of humor, and I admired his artistic ability. I am thankful that Jim was my friend, and it was a true privilege to share life with him. He showed great strength and courage throughout his battle with cancer and did not complain. Jim, thank you for touching my life. I love you, and I will never forget you.
Love,
Jenn

It took me awhile to actually get on here to write something. Jim was my little brother and was very special to me. It didn't take much to make Jim happy. I could give him a piece of candy and his face would light up. He loved life and fought for it until the very end and still wasn't ready to give up. I'm sure he was and will be the strongist willed person to live that I will ever know, or ever meet. I love you Jim and miss you so very much. Your sister Mary...

I met Jim at Paxton Street Home. I have so many recollections; there was once a pet fish and I remember an "emergency" trip to Petsmart to buy fish food. And when we played Pictionary-could Jim draw! What a guy...RIP James. You deserve to sleep well.
