Not sure what to say?

My prayers and thoughts are with the family ...I remember James from the first store .. across from the house ....pumping gas for me .. always kind and thoughtful and with his wonderful parents and then as we grew up and they move the house and they have the new the store. Then I got to purchase some boots from James as I was older ....James will be missed as friend and as a neighbor...

Dear Becky and Stephanie. I'm so sorry to hear about James passing. I know he was loved and will be surely missed by all who loved and knew him. I am your neighbor down the road. James and my deceased wife Roberta were good friends. I became acquainted with James when Roberta and I would stop at his family's store from time to time. I always thought James as nice and friendly person, always smiling when he talked with you. May the Heavenly Father bless and comfort you in your time of extreme...

I’m so sorry for your loss. My husband, Jim Kiger, and James served in Vietnam together. Prayers for God’s peace and comfort.

Becky an stephanie and family....so sorry for your loss....rode by the store and saw the wreath....and my heart skipped a beat...... I have many many happy memories of James and the store knowing him personally was an honor...a kind gentle soft spoken man with a smile.....my thoughts are with you.... james is with his Lord...I know the faith he had...and a strong belief.....hold on to the precious memories....

we're praying for ya'll. Always enjoyed talking to James.

Rest in peace James you helped a lot of people find the right shoes for the job at PPG.

So very saddened to hear the passing of James. I had the opportunity to first meet him in the mid 90s when I became one of his customers. Anytime I would go to buy boots James had a smile on his face, a kind word to share and a funny joke or story to tell. James always expressed his appreciation for first responders. Over the years many of us have climbed in firetrucks, ambulances and patrol cars wearing boots bought from James. He was a gentleman and a genuine person. Although I was just a...

I knew,James and his dad from the store. My family moved from Davidson County in 1973. But returned to retire here in 2016. I often drove by the store and wanted to say hello but always was in a hurry. I'm sadden that he's gone before i said hello again. He was a Godly and good man ,friend to all! Prayer go out to all his family. He will be missed in the community.
