Not sure what to say?

Dear Mrs. Link, I was assigned with Jim in 1968-69 when we were assigned to the 782d Maintenance Battalion, 82d Airborne Division. It was clear to all of we fellow junior officers that he was imbued with special qualities that would propel him far ahead in his career. I didn´t see him again until he visited Korea as a three star in 1993. But it was clear he remembered me, even addressing me by my first name after all those intervening years. God Bless his soul and I pray that he will be at...

My deepest condolences to the family. I just came across the notification in one of my Frankfurt American High School groups. His name sounds so familiar and the face is familiar too from my military days so I did a little digging in my pics. A little more online research confirmed the following. We were both in the same unit in Korea, even worked in the same little office building in '82 & '83. While I served under him in his S1 (Personnel Administration) shop, our conversations never...

Judy, I´m so sorry for the lost of your husband. I wish I was there to be with you. God is watching over you. My prayers will be with you.

Mrs Link, I am so sorry at your loss. GEN Link was a great soldier, leader, and mentor to me. Fortunately Kay could be there during this difficult time, as I could not. V/R, Jim Nagel

My wife and I are very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was a good friend and hunting buddy. Jim and I spent many hours in a blind hunting in Tennessee and Alabama over the years. Charlotte and I send our condolences out to Judy in this very difficult time. Sincerely, Robert and Charlotte Murphy

Dear Mrs. Link I am sorry for your loss. Gen. Link was a kind man. It was a privilege knowing him. Can remember my freshman year of high school I had attended a UCP board members Christmas party with my parents, and I was so scared because I was the only kid there. After the party,I remember speaking to you and the general before we headed home. He and Carey were both a inspiration to me, and they gave a direction in life I never imagined taking. Sincerely James Kelly

So sorry for your loss, Judith. Ed and I enjoyed working with Jim at Burritt.

What an incredible leader, both in the military and in the greater Huntsville community. Thank you Judy, for sharing his time and expertise for nearly two decades at Burritt on the Mountain. We will remember him forever.

Jim left a legacy that benefited us all. He was a friend to everyone he ever met and we are benefited that he walked among us.
