Not sure what to say?

Kay, I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your family during this very difficult time.

To the family I learned a lot, from Jim over the years working together at the Franklin County sheriff's department. He taught me that if I worked hard, I would be successful ,because of his encouragement I was able to raise to the top.Thank you my friend and may you rest in peace.

Kay, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Martin e-mailed us to let us know. I enjoyed seeing you both in Sept. I have to also tell you that I lost my husband on Dec. 21, 2014. Life is different, but our faith will keep us going. Hugs to a former "cheer leader". Shirley Nolen Davis

Sending love and prayers to the family of a wonderful man, May God's blessings be with you all.

As students and later staff at Ferrum College, we knew and respected Jim's dedication to the college. Such a very nice man!

He was a very good police officer and am grateful i had the honor of working with him for many years. He taught me alot. Rest in peace my friend. Sue Johnson, Rocky Mount

I had the distinct privilege of working under the tutelage of Lieutenant Jim Linnane for many years. There was never a time that I went to him for advice that he didn't take ample time to address the issue at hand. Jim was a great police officer, supervisor, and friend. He was always a man of his word. Jim will be sadly missed by all who had the opportunity to have known him.
