Not sure what to say?

I will never forget Jimmy's and my trip to Shreveport LA., for a student council meeting. We rode a bus with about thirty other students from the Columbia area. On that trip in Vicksburg MS. we almost got arrested. We were innocent but having on cowboy hats and a cigar in our mouth (neither of us smoked) we were mistaken for a couple that had given the police trouble. Jimmy was a great friend. On my 18th birthday he gave me a set of cufflinks. I still have them. I am blessed to have known...

One of my favorite families from Ronni´s/Lanys on Reynolda Road. Always the sweetest! Jim and Lucy were the life of the party! Went to school with Cole and love them all dearly. I pray that God protects them and provides them with great comfort. Godspeed Jim. You´ve worked hard. I´m sure the reunion was amazing!! Sending prayers and lots of love

Dear Allison, Jimmy, Kathryn and Cole. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your dear Dad. Jim was such a kind, caring man. So friendly and epitomized the old adage of.. CAN DO. Such an incredible man and honestly....A force of nature! He's with his beloved Lucy in the stars and heavens and will no doubt be helping to create a spot for his family. Jim was a hands on man and did so much for his family and friends, as well as the countless strangers he may not have even met. ...

So enjoyed knowing Jim and Lucy. He was a perfect gentleman.

So sad to hear of his passing. Jim and Lucy were like family to us. We lived across the street from them for so many years and shared so many great times with them. My deepest sympathy to Jimmy, Kathryn, Allison, Cole and all the family. I send my love to all of you. Kathy Watson

I am so sad to read of Jimmy's passing. He was my vice president at University High and the next year he was president. He and I went on a Student Council Meeting in 1952 to Shreveport, MS.. We almost got arrested in Vicksburg, MS but that is another story. I still have the cuff links he gave me for my 18th birthday. Jimmy and George, his brother were two of the finest people ever and both extremely intelligent. Jimmy lived a great life of giving. My utmost sympathy to the family. May God...
