Not sure what to say?

Loved seeing the Lincoln Park Lions Pee Wee Football Team Picture posted in the Photo Gallery. It has been over 40 years now, but in my mind I can still hear Mr. Lipps' encouraging voice calling out to me on the football field or baseball diamond ("You can do it, Babe!"). My deepest condolences Scott.

Coach Jim,
Thanks for bieng there for all of us. You were an amazing guy who always will be in our thoughts.

RIP Coach Lipps

RIP Coach...

Coach, you always reminded me of John Wayne. You were a mans man and a gentleman. I can't begin to tell you how you helped shape my life coaching me with the Lincoln Park Lions. I have wonderful memories of you, Coach Boron, Coach Cook, Coach Olin, Coach Black and Coach Oakland. I learned so much from all of you and still use it today! RIP Coach! My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. God Speed.

Rest in Peace Coach

My name is Faye and I just wanted to share my interaction with Jim and what a wonderful man he was.I would see him occassionally at my business and we would have an opportunity to talk. He was very caring and spoke lovingly about his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved babysitting and bought traverses in order to transport his grandchildren. I wish you wonderful memories of a great man to comfort you.

Growing up in Town of Tonawanda in the late 60's and early 70's was a special place. Remembering Jim as the LL coach of the team nobody wanted to play, because they were always so good. Later in life, I got to know Jim as a golfing buddy of my brother Tim. A very kind, gentle generous man. I was very fortunate to have played with Jim in Rochester this past summer in some of his final rounds. May all of these memories help during this most difficult time for all of Jim's family and friends.

My thoughts an prayers are with you. Big Jim was always a father figure to me. He knew me inside an out. He was always one to help me with anything. I missed him for the last 10 years a lot. I couldn't have asked for a better friend and neighbor. Jonesy
