LIVESAY, James E., "Jimmy," 83, of Chesterfield, Va., entered eternal life on Monday, August 29, 2011. Jimmy was born in Sussex County, Va. in 1927. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Hinton Livesay and Mary Griffin Livesay; two brothers, Harry and Bill Livesay. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marjorie Livesay; two sisters, Martha Loh and her husband, Dan of Connecticut; and Mary Ellen Rennie of Wakefield, Virginia; one son, Jimmy Livesay and his wife, Janie of Chesapeake, Virginia; three daughters, Linda Stephens and her husband, Billy; Cindy Angus and her husband, Bill; Debbie Hackworth and her husband, Steve all of Chesterfield, Virginia; and six grandchildren, Billy Stephens and his wife, Holly, Kara Stephens, Kristin Hackworth, Chris Hackworth, Taylor Livesay, and Brett Livesay. Jimmy served his country with the 82nd Airborne Division for six years. He served the City of Richmond as a firefighter for 28 years and was also an excellent carpenter for Horner and Newell. Jimmy loved his wife and family dearly and spent most of his life working to provide the best for them. He loved gardening and sharing his harvest with family and friends. He loved hunting and fishing with his son and grandsons. A memorial service will be held at Bethany Place Baptist Church on Friday, September 2 at 11 a.m. with a reception following at the church.
