I just found out Dr Lock was passed a couple of months ago. I had no idea, and it´s his anniversary of his transition. In spite of hating to attending commencement ceremonies at CSU, he was there for mine when I received my Masters. So sorry to hear this. I was in several of Dr. Lock's classes at CSU as a grad student. The were NOT easy, but worth the effort. It was easy to see that he loved math/physics and teaching it. I remember he'd be talking about some concept, get this gleam in his eye, and say, "this is neat." Then, he'd proceed to fill up an entire chalkboard with mind-melting equations, sometimes even squeezing himself into the corner to fit in the last little bit. He will be missed.
