Not sure what to say?

Maryvern, Greg, Andy, and families,
My memories of Jim (actually, "Mr. Loomis" to me)are fond ones . . . from driving with you up to Bogus Basin to ski, visiting you in Boise when Greg and I tried our hand at shop-lifting (a short-lived occupation thanks to your wisdom in handling that escapade!), to enjoying your hospitality at your home in Bellevue, as well as times at Westminster Chapel, fun times with my parents (and other pilot friends), to visiting at your place on Whidbey Island....

Dear Maryvern,
I am so sorry to learn of Jim's passing. It was an honor and a privilege to be able to care for Jim. Making the acquaintance of patient's like Jim and your family is the reason I appreciate my job so much as a RN at UWMC. What a great family you have - May you be able to lean into your friends & family and be held by their compassion during this time of grief. Warm regards,

Maryvern, My deepest regrets in hearing of Jim's passing. I was honored to be able to care for Jim on several occasions at UW. You were both inspirations to me. Your kindness and caring manner toward each other was something I will never forget. Jim was a wonderful person and will be missed. He touched my heart. I wish only the best for you and your family. Peace and love to you.

Maryvern and Sons
My name is Pamela Ketchum and I am the Awana Commander and a worship leader @ Family Bible Church in Oak Harbor WA. Jim and Maryvern attended our church for quite some time and as a worship leader, I appreciated Jim's knowledge concerning the sound system. In August of 2002,
I had to attend Awana camp and came home knowing that i needed some serious advice concerning how to operate a sound system. Jim made everything so easy! He immediately agreed to meet with...

I'm so sorry for your loss... My thoughts and prayers are with you all right now..

Maryvern and family,

It was a very meaningful memorial service last Friday, and so good to share in the wonderful memories which his family and friends shared about Jim, and his impact on so many over the years.

I remember well the boat which Jim had stored in the unfinished third floor of the Christian Education building. When we joined the choir shortly after coming to Westminster Chapel in 1972, we could look out the north windows of the chapel and see the boat...

Dear Maryvern and family,
On behalf of the entire HAW/RARE membership, please accept our sincere condolences on Jims's passing. Jim will be greatly missed. God bless

Maryvern, you and Jim have been beacons in my life; you have unfailingly demonstrated trust, faithfulness, reliance upon God and His Word. Your example of unwavering rest, comfort and peace during suffering and uncertainty speak volumes to me. I pray that I can emulate you when my difficult times arrive.

Jim has been to me the epitome of Christlikeness; I have never known a man to so demonstrate Jesus' humility, gentleness, compassion, unconditional positive regard, humor,...

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
