James E. Luse passed away January 27, 2021, after a long battle with Cancer. James attended Tomahawk High School. He enlisted in the Navy in 1963 where he served his country for four years and was honorably discharged in 1967. He met and married Sharon “Sherry” Ruffie. They had four children together, Brian, Mike, Dan and Nicole. James was preceded in death by his mother; Doris Collins and a son; Brian. He loved fishing, especially on the Willow Flowage and hunting and bowling.


Jim was employed with Printpack for forty-one years.


He is survived by his wife; Sherry, sons; Mike, wife; Brenda Tushoski, Dan, wife; Cristi Corey, daughter; Nicole Luse, five grandchildren; Emily Luse, Aaron Luse, Alexia Corey-Luse, Frank Hill Jr. and Parrish Hill and a brother; John, wife; Diane Luse of Merrill, Wisconsin.


A Celebration of Life and Military Honors will take place at a later date.

When James (Jimmy) was in training at No. 19 Elementary Flying training School, he was issued a 'textbook' of sorts. When the soldiers completed their training, they would quite often leave their book for the next person. I don't know if Jimmy and my Grandpa (Sydney Eric Eversfield) were friends, but when my father passed away, I received some items that were my grandfathers. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I'll always remember Jim at our softball games and enjoyed his support. Deepest sympathy.
