Tony you and Siobhan were basically my family away from home while I was in the military. You showed me nothing but support and love while I was deployed, and made me feel more at home in Nashville than when I was back home in Illinois. I'm grateful to have had a friend as well as a prodigal parent such as yourself. You will be dearly missed!

Ii remember Tony Lyons from his days with WSM both during the week and on the Opry on the weekends. He was one of my most favorite announcers during the 1970s and early 1980s. Though he had left WSM by the time I came to Nashville permanently, I always will remember his smooth delivery and great style of announcing. My heart goes out to his family and he will always be remembered as long as I live.

Tony...you were a great friend, and we will miss you so much. We love you, and will cherish the memories forever! May God bless Siobhan and Sara, and surround them with peace. We will always be here for them. There is comfort knowing we will see you again some day. Until then...
