Not sure what to say?

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Father Jim MacGee. He was my Freshman home room teacher,as well as teaching me classes in various subjects. But more than that, he was also a mentor and a friend. He gave much of his spare time to lead our Explorer Post at Bishop Fallen HS, for years. His leadership lead the way for so many city kids, to not only discover the outdoors through our camping and hiking weekends, but he helped us discover in ourselves our rugged independence and a...

Father Jim MacGee. He was such a huge part of my formative years. As an Altar Boy in Kentucky Father Jim was a great influence. Teaching by example. My mother and father worked with him in providing SVDP services to the underprivileged of the area. He conducted the burial mass for my mother. His memory will always be with me.

May God always find a place for this great messenger.

I was saddened to learn just last Sunday of Father Jim's passing. He was pastor in my church in Crawfordville, FL. Since I retired, I spend time also in NH, which is why I was late hearing about his death. I liked that he had spent time in New England (I thought he was from Maine, but the obituary said Newton, MA), which is not far from my house on the coast in NH. We spoke of hiking in the White Mts too and I remember his good sense of humor. I was sad when he was transferred to another...

Rest in Peace, Father MacGee; thank you for your pastoral service to the people of the Howland/Lincoln area.

We spent a wonderful afternoon and evening with Fr Jim up in Maine a few years back. He wanted to have us climb Mt Katahdin as a thunderstorm was rolling in. Instead we stopped by a lake to enjoy the beautiful scenery. His was a kind, gentle spirit. Warm

I had the great good fortune to be a student of Fr. MacGee at Bishop Fallon HS. During the summer of 1970 He arranged for a group of students, including myself, to do volunteer work in Wheeling W VA. That summer was transformational and has shaped the rest of my life. I was blessed to know him.

I miss him dearly. I will always love the fact that he knew everyone's name and would say it during communion to add that personal touch. And his homilies were the best. Rest in Heaven.
