Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Mackey and family,
My sincere condolences. Mr Mackey was a great influence in my life. He guided me towards art education, and was the first person to show me Kutztown University. I will always remember his friendship as I was a young art teacher and just starting out in the field.

Dear Joan,

We were sorry to hear of Jim's passing . He will be greatly missed by many who knew and especially by us. We always enjoyed and admired his artistry on cards he sent us for various occasions. He will long be remembered as a close friend!!

Dear Joan and Mackey Family,

Mr. Mackey filled our card basket every Christmas with such lovey pen and ink creations. He was a great teacher and wonderful partner to his wife, Joan. Just reading his name brought me great memories of time spent at Red Land in his class. What joy to teach Art... to live it and share it... Wishing you all the warmth of his memory.

I HAVE KNOWN JIM SINCE BEING A STUDENT IN THE EARLY SIXTIES,AND ALSO AS A CLIENT OF MINE FOR TWENTY SOME YEARS.I HAVE ALWAYS HAD GREAT RESPECT FOR HIS KNOWLEDGE,HOW HE TAUGHT,AND HIS POSTIVE ATTIUDE FOR PEOPLE .I WILL MISS HIM VERY MUCH,AS WE ALL WILL.I AM SURE .GOD WILL GIVE JIM A SPECIAL ART ROOM,SO HE CAN CONTINUE HIS LOVE OF ART.GOD BLESS

I loved Mr. Mackey's classes in junior high school. I was not a talented art student but he was so encouraging that I enjoyed them. He taught me lettering skills and beautiful handwriting. I still recall choosing Sly and the Family Stone's Everybody is a Star for the lesson where we were to illustrate our favorite song on the radio!
