Jim was a contemporary and great friend of my father's and showed me the same warmth and respect at a point in my fledgling career when I probably deserved neither. Apologies to Ted only, Jim was probably the best mediator with whom I ever worked. Via con dios, mi amigo.

Jim was a dear friend of mine, having first met him in about 1965, when I was working as a Union representative. Jim was the Federal Mediator assigned to our contract negotiations. I worked with him numerous times over the years, and Jim was the person responsible for me deciding to make a career change after 10-1/2 years as a Union rep to become a mediator.
