Read MoreJim was a true character. I remember being with him on two different spring break ecology trips. There was the obligatory stop at a winery in California with at least one box in the luggage bin of the bus for taking home. We had three professors leading the trip - priceless education for the students. I look forward to hearing stories that will continue to unfold.

Patty, I was so sorry to read of James' passing. He was always so good to me and I loved it when he came to the school with you and shared all the snakes. The kids really did learn a lot from him. I treasure the friendship we had and hope that you will be able to move on and do all the things you can. You and Jim got to travel so much and enjoyed the dogs. I hope you can continue to do this.
