Jiim's wry, witty character stands foremost in my mind, as I have witnessed it many times in the years that we played music together in my HS band The Rockets and later, The Revels. We enjoyed making music and the band(s) were blessed to have him setting the beat. He was a true musician in that he did exactly that and was very good at it. RIP Jim, may the beat go on.
