Not sure what to say?

Mags will be missed. A few of us worked with Jim in the early 80's in El Cerrito and at San Pablo. I lost contact with him years ago and ran into him in Pinole in June. We never got our BBQ. Rest in Peace Mags.

It seems like I have known Jim forever. We have all lost a true friend. Jim never judged people, just embraced all he met. You will be missed by many and kept in our hearts forever!

Uncle Jim and Frank at PJs in San Pablo

I loved my Uncle Jim very much and will miss him greatly. But I know he is watching over me and keeping me safe. I will always remember the good times I had with him, from the time I was a little boy and he taught me to shoot, to drinking at PJs in San Pablo then hitting a Raiders or As game, to joining the extended "cabin family" and haveing a great time out there. Things won't seem the same back home without him.

Mags was a true gentleman. He was a big part of our "Cabin Family". Mags was famous at the cabin for making the best breakfasts ever and so much more. I loved his big bear hugs and his beautiful smile. I am thankful for knowing such a wonderful man.

I have know Jim for over 8 years. He taught a Private investigators course for me at Contra Costa College and we still get calls about how great that class was. He was able to visit my condo in Cabo and really enjoyed the sunshine and the beach. I will miss him dearly. He was one of a kind.

Mags & I worked together for a few years at San Pablo PD He was a hard worker and a great guy. I retired in 1986 and moved to Ga. I visit Ca. ofter & he lets me stay at his home. He was like a younger brother. He will be missed greatly.

Mags, you were my friend and my brother. I will always have you close to me and I know you will watch over all of us.

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Jim for the first time on Thanksgiving Day, 2007. We were introduced by our daughter Mary who had invited him to celebrate the holiday with her family in Beaumont, Ca. We were very impressed with the respectable manner in which he carried himself. We were especially impressed with the respect and affection he showed for our daughter Mary. He was very interesting in his conversation with us and we enjoyed his company very much. We were shocked and very...
