Not sure what to say?

Jim was a great teacher with boundless energy.. he did everything possible to help students and other teachers. There will never be another one quite like him...I hope he gets the chance to read this...I always wanted to tell him how much he was apprec iated. I saw him about a year ago, when I visited his and Lilian's home in Fenton. Wish he was still with us....God Bless him and Lillian.

To Jim's family, we would like to express our sorrow. Jim was a lovely man. He was such good company, wonderful to children. We were privileged to know Jim through Lilian and her sister Helen. He told of his roots from the Upper Peninsula, and his wings from a family of school teachers.
May God bless and comfort you.

Thoughts and prayers from the entire Byrd family. Uncle Jimmy you are a great man, Love Nick

Jim was always a pleasant co-worker at M.S.D. We taught many years there and I got to know him in many roles-- teacher, union rep. and friend. I hope his family will gain some comfort by sharing those precious memories of him. He was a kind soul. My deepest sympathy to all.

Jim and Lilian were wonderful friends and great teachers of the Deaf. We miss them both. Our condolences to the family.
