Not sure what to say?

Cinecon 1999,Glendale,Ca.

Dear Jim and sweet Edna, I am so sorry to just hear the news of both your passing. Cinecon was so sorry when you were no longer able to come to Hollywood, it was never the same without you. But when you were there, they were GREAT years. You both were good friends to me. Please rest in peace. And peace to your families. With Much Love, Stella Grace

I have many wonderful memories of Jim. Especially when I was working Summers at the Zilker Hillside Theater and we would have our Movie Night Program once a week. Jim would pull up in his van (with Edna always riding shotgun) and get out his Fastfold Screen and setup his two 16mm projectors on two AV carts. Jim did manual reel changes between the projectors, old school. And he NEVER missed his cue. Jim would show a cartoon, a short feature and then the main film. This is an experience I...

An old and very dear buddy I've known and loved for many years even though I never met him face to face! He was in Texas and I was in Minnesota but that didn't dilute the friendship. For a couple of years we even did a little business together, and as you can guess, he was as generous and gentlemanly a partner as a friend. A long distance phone call from Jim was always the highlight of the day! He will be so missed.

I knew Jim since the mid 90's.. Him and Edna were a one of kind couple, who after all of those years together, genuinely loved each other. I learned a lot from him and enjoyed going and helping at the shows with him. I lost touch with Jim during a long period of illness in my life, but I never forgot him and remembered every story that he told me over the years. I can't say enough good things about him.. they don't make them like Jim Maloy anymore. May his family and friends be comforted as...

I never met Jim Maloy in person, a fact I will always regret, yet we were friends for over 25 years. There was rarely a week in all that time that the phone didn't ring and I'd hear, "Hey, Jeffer, how ya doin'?" I miss that so much already...

Jim was a master showman, a great raconteur, and one of the most generous people I've ever encountered. He and Edna were "long-distance" members of the Busy Bodies Tent of Sons of the Desert, the international Laurel & Hardy club in Duluth, MN...

I took care of this sweet man at Brookdale Westlake and I loved him dearly,he was such a sweet man.....R.I.P

Our family,s acquaintance with Mr. Maloy goes back quite a few years and there is a lot I could say about Jim and his good qualities but I'll keep it short and say, I truly believe that my life and the lives of my family was made better for having known Mr. Maloy. He was a good person and a good friend.

I came to value Jim's friendship many years ago when he and I were co-volunteers with the Austin Steam Train Association. May our gracious God comfort his family in his loss.

It makes me so sad to loose such a Great American. I had the pleasure of getting to know Jim at Beckett Meadows when my Dad moved in, across the hall from my Dad, Dom. He made the transition so much easier for Dom as well as all of Dom's family. My Dad would light up daily to meet up with him. I quickly saw what a kind and compationate man he was and could see how much he was loved by all the residents and his family. I know your family will greatly miss him, but
know how lucky everyone...
