Not sure what to say?

I only learned of Mr. Marrow's death late last year. Joy is one of my dear friends from high school, junior high and college days. I remeber visiting in the Marrow's Arlington home several times and went to Westminster Presbyterian Church once or twice with Joy and heard Rev. Marrow preach. Rev. and Mrs. Marrow were/are sweet, kind people who welcomed me with open arms. What I remember most about Rev. Marrow is his white hair and his sense of humor. I know he is deeply missed by Joy and all...

The family of Dr. James Alston Marrow,Jr.,Jimmy, was and is most grateful for all expressions of sympathy in the form of cards, memorials to the Ridglea Church, and all the love expressed here, in this guest book, as well as telephone calls and those present at his memorial service last May, 2008, in the beautiful sanctuary of God at Ridglea Presbyterian Church! May God continue to bless each and every person and/or family who has graciously remembered our loved one! We love all of you!...

This is written in loving rembrance of my beloved dad, Jimmy Marrow, who wanted to call me, Joy, so that I would think on the good things in life, because he said that I would encounter enough negative influences in this life. I miss him very much, but he believed in living a joyous life and also believed we would see each other again in heaven. I thank God for him and I know that he is in perfect health and peace. In loving memory, his daughter, Joy Marrow Williams

I was blessed to have Jimmy Marrow as my father-in-law for almost 15 years. I could have not asked for a better one. He was so generous to us in many ways. I will always remember his kind spirit and always having something good to say about everyone. I will remember him every day when I look at the oak tree he planted in our front yard after our first daughter was born. He will be greatly missed. For certain, he will look back on his life and say to himself "a job well done."

We were so sad to hear of Jimmy's passing. We wish God's blessings on the entire family. Jimmy married us in 1981 and we went to Ridglea Presbyterian for many years and got to know the whole family becoming good friends with Joy and her family. We have a lot of memories, too, of the Marriage Enrichment group that started as a Sunday School class. It introduced us to so many people and so many benefited from it. Jimmy was truly a loving person who loved everyone the same and was helpful in...
