Dear Martin family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Jim has left a legacy that not only includes his contributions to those who knew him and what he did for our state but most importantly the strong family that he has left behind. Jim was easily the strongest influence on my career and his selflessness and sense of purpose are traits that I can only try and emulate. I will always remember him. Lynn & Judy Pitts

My sympathies and prayers are with your family. Jimmy, Mary Claire, Milton, along with their parents lived across the street from us on Ridgewood Rd. What fun we used to have! The Martin's downhill driveway was used when we wanted our bikes to go really fast. There were so many kids in the neighborhood that we never lacked for someone to play with. Jimmy died too soon but evidently made his life count! What a blessing. We are thinking of you.
