FULTON - James Oliver Mask, 90, died Thursday, August 4, 2016, at the Courtyards Nursing Facility. He was born October 24, 1925 to Jim and Perry Lee Hester Mask. He was a decorated World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy and the 82nd Airborne Army Rangers, where he had twenty two live jumps. He was retired from Rockwell International after 32 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, building, deer hunting with his sons, and being in the outdoors. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Services will be at 10 a. m. Saturday, August 6, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Clyde Mize officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Polly Mask; two sons, Wayne Mask (Sherry) of Shannon, and Gary Mask (Sherry) of Tupelo; two step-sons, Barry Hinton (Mary Jo) of Fulton and Charles Hinton (Jane) of Huntsville, AL; two step-daughters, Cheryl Evans of Fulton and Susan Rogers (Paul) of Decatur, AL; three sisters, Hazel Pearson of Tupelo, Dorothy Mounce (Flake), and Cara Brown (Herman), both of Ecru; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Windom Mask; three sisters, Eloise Dobbs, Laverne Pannell, and Beatrice Bramlett; one grandson, Joseph Scott Hinton.
Pallbearers will be Ben Mask, Donny Mask, Mike Mask, James Gary Mask, Dewayne Mask, and Mike Bell.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.

Our dear Jim will be sorely missed for he brought love, joy, and happiness to our lives. We are comforted to know that he is at rest from the cares of this troubled world and that God has promised a great reward to His faithful servants of which he was one. What a blessing!
