Not sure what to say?

We are so saddened to hear Jim passed away. We just learned of his passing today, April 7th. We dont lnow if you will see this message but we want the family to know how much we love Him and Marie. Not only were we neighbors of the family in Farmington, but Jim was our home teacher and he performed our temple sealing in the Bountiful Temple back in 1995. It wasn't too long ago when we saw Jim and Marie at the temple. We will miss him. Dennis & Gaylene Packard

I just learned this sad news yesterday, November 19. Jim was a dear colleague and friend at CDC, and an outstanding public servant in addition to his many other admirable qualities. A favorite memory: He once had his daughter meet my wife and me on our arrival at Salt Lake City airport to loan me his outfit for skiing (we were the same size). After our return to Atlanta I told him that when his daughter met us she also had her infant daughter in her arms and his granddaughter impressed me...

He and his wife Marie have been SO kind to us as new members or their congregation. I never realized he was so accomplished! God bless the whole family!

I love Brother and Sister Mason. I used to babysit their children in the late 50's and early 60's when we all lived in Atlanta. They were always so loving and friendly. Brother Mason is a great man and will be missed. Marie, I hope you remember me. My parents were Maurice and Ellie Peterson.

I grew up with Jim's children. He became an archetype to me of a father and leader. I still tell stories about him to my wife and friends. Some of my greatest life lessons came from him.

It is my fortune to have known him.

I have fond memories from the time when Elder James O. Mason served as a missionary in my hometown, Odense in Denmark.

The photo was taken in 1951, the year before I immigrated to the USA.

It was a privilege to know that great man, who will be missed by all whose lives he touched for good.

Sincerely,

Tove K. Reschke
