Not sure what to say?

Marta,

My sincere condolences to you and the family. I worked with Jim as an employee and while he was on the campaign trail. He will be missed.
Godspeed to you and your family.
My apologies for not attending the service, however I was traveling out of state. Kindest regards,
Donna Rolland

I had the honor of working for Mattox during his '94 Senate race. He campaigned like the bulldog he was during the day then Marta, Jimmer and Sissy would come to the headquarters for "family" dinner. Marta would bring enough for Jim, herself, the kids and all the campaign staff. He was so happy to see them come through that door after the long hard days. I will treasure all the advice and inspiration he gave me when I was the Tx YD President. He always had time to encourage the young...

My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

A true Texan with a big heart for his fellow citizens. He will be missed.

Jim Mattox was a true blessing! My prayers are with you Marta.....he is still with us in Jimmer and Sissy! Take care of yourself and I will visit soon.

Janice and Jerry,
One of the most memorable times in my life was my introduction into the world of politics working for that true hero of Texas and its people, Jim Mattox, in 1972 during his first campaign. Jim exemplified what it meant to be a true Democrat and a real Christian. God bless you as you continue on with your lives without Jim.

My first introduction to politics was working on Jim's campaign as a child, age 6. I have very fond memories of my time with Jim and of all of the hard work he did for the people of Texas! He had a very generous heart and will be greatly missed.
