Not sure what to say?

Mr Matty was a great teacher. I enjoyed his classes at Goodrich Jr high school.

Mr. Matty, was literally the best sub ever. He always had a story to tell and was literally the sweetest guy. I'm very sorry for the family.

My condolences to your family. I just happened upon this sad information about Mr Matty. I was reminiscing to a friend about him being one of my favorite teachers and how much fun we had. His laugh and smile were contagious. Always wondered what became of him as he was a teacher of mine more than 40 years ago at middle school in the Sandy Valley school district. The mere fact that i thought of him all these years tells you what a character he was. We all loved him. I am happy to see in...

Cathy and I were so saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He was a great neighbor growing up. My Brother Tim and Jim were best friends and had many adventures together, including traveling to Europe. My deepest sympathies to you Teresa and children. Many fond memories. Tim and Jim are now planning their next fun adventure.

I will always remember my daughter comeing home from Barberton middle school, talking about this cool teacher, she would say he just has his way of teaching us kids. All three of my children had him as a Teacher, it was just last year they made the connetion that his wife was mommmy family doctor, so to this wonderful family stay strong and prayerful and keep each other close at heart always.

Mr. Matty was my jr. High school science teacher at Goodrich in Akron, OH. I will always remember how much fun he made his class. I will also remember the popcorn machine, the puffer fish he had hanging from the projection screen and the Reese cups he had in class. He was an amazing teacher with a great passion for making us want to learn science. He will be missed, and prayers for him and his family!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family May the Lord help you and your family through this most difficult time giving you peace and strength.

Mr. Matty was my Spanish teacher at St. Peter and Paul. I can not sum up all of the great times that our class had with him. He was always joking and will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry Ani, we have been friends a very long time and I got to know your Dad well, your Dad meant the world to me ... I will cherish all the memories of him and his witty, funny sayings...the football games that he hauled truckloads of us kids to ,our trip with him and his class to Cedar Point, trips to your Grandmas and even after you went away to college and we grew up I made it a point to every year, annually to take my kids and seek your Dad out at the Fair and it became a tradition...
