Maxa, James Stephen "Jimbo, Mr. Bim" Thomas Township (Formerly of Carrollton) Many hearts grieve at the loss of a good man; a man who was a devoted son and brother, a loving husband and father, and a true and loyal friend. On Sunday October 14, Jim's spirit was finally released from his lengthy...

Not sure what to say?

I am still struggling with why you had to leave us the way you did. I am so sorry that I was not able to be there for you. It will be hard for me when I return to Carrollton for a visit knowing you are no longer there. You will always live in my memory as well as the many others who loved you. You were loved very much, It is sad that most of us never tell someone special to us how we feel about them until they are gone, Then it is too late. I hope that you are at peace and that you are with...

I send my thoughts and prayers to the entire Maxa family. I never met James but did know his Grandmother, Aunt Josie, and his Mom and Dad. They were a well-known, active and very caring family in the Carrollton community.

May God surround you with angels during this time of sadness.

Although I haven't seen Jimmy since high school he has and always will be a part of who I am. He and Chris were good friends to my brother, sister and myself. I will never forget him. He will be missed.

I grew up with Jimmy and his brother Chris in Carrollton. I have many fond memories of playing baseball on that field at Union School and football too. Jimmy was always a load to tackle because he always played hard plus he was a big guy back then ! His dad gave me my first job at Maxas Galley washing dishes. The last time I saw Jimmy was in 1982. I lost touch with him as I moved about the U.S., But I never forgot about him. I am proud to say he was one of my best friends growing up and I...

May God Bless you all
My heart is with you all.

I've known Jimmy for quite a few years. My sister Susan is married to his brother Mike. I've got to know the family rather well. I'm feel really sorry for the family. Jimmy was a good guy. He didn't deserve what was dished out to him. He's with his mother now. Mary will take good care of him. He knew that. Linda I heard about your bad luck this whole week and I really feel for you and Tim. Good luck to the whole family my prayers are with you.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

I am so sorry for the loss of Jimmie.I went to school with him and enjoyed being around him.I still remember the night we both got suspened in the 10th grade for going to a dance drunk,(no we didn't go together but I do remember sitting in the boiler room talking with him over the stupidity of getting caught)I have fond memories of him and saddened by his loss

Like all who knew Jimmy, I am deeply saddened by his passing. My fondest memories of Jimmy are from childhood and the days of playing baseball at Union School and sledding on the snow hills in the parking lot of St. Johns church (and the snow ball fights that would follow). As an adult I didn’t get to see Jimmy often but, when I did, I felt as comfortable as the kid who had him on her side during a snow ball fight. I will cherish the memories forever. To the Maxa families: please know...
