James B. Maxim, Jr.

James B. Maxim, Jr., 95, of Jackson, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Gracious Living Estates. He was born in Trenton, NJ, raised by the late James B. and Carolyn L. (Moore) Maxim. His wife of 72 years, Gatewood A. (Brown) Maxim, survives.

Also surviving are his two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Marie and Ralph Jenkins, Montrose, PA, Dorinda and Steve Cliver, NJ, five grandchildren, Justina, Rhianna, Conrad, Jose, Gabrielle, and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Janice Rodriguez, and grandson, Nathan Rodriguez.

Jim was a graduate of Clarks Summit High School, class of 1946. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War from 1950-52. He married Gatie in 1952 and raised their daughters in Woodbury, NJ. Jim was an Insurance Agent for Prudential, retiring in 1992. He and his wife enjoyed winters in Florida, traveling the country and going on cruises.  He and Gatie were avid country line dancers after his retirement.
