I was a police officer and Jim was a personal friend. Then a neighbor when we moved to Magnolia Springs in the 90´s. Shared some good meals and better conversations with him. He will be missed. To the family my sincerest condolences and my prayers are with each of you.

I encountered Jim in similar fashion to Steve Salter above- as a young lawyer in the early 70s when Jim was a member of the Corriti firm . Jim was a wonderful mentor to me and a host of young inexperienced lawyers newly released upon the public . Jim exuded intellect , industry , a welcoming and calm demeanor, great empathy and a passion to give a hand up to lost souls one encounters in the general practice of law . I so regret not keeping up with Jim when he relocated to Gulf...

I first met Jim in the late '60s while in law school in Birmingham while clerking for a local law firm. We had many interactions and matters over the many years. He was a uniquely beautiful soul known to many and loved by all! RIP old friend! Steve Salter,Fort Morgan Alabama
