About 1960 Jim Mazer and his son, Mike, moved into our neighborhood. Their family and ours became fast friends. The years since brought a multitude of mostly good memories. There were road trips, home movies of summer haircuts and high school football games, extended family gatherings, Spark and Augie, Zion Junior Band, ice rinks in the back yard, touch football and baseball in the back yard, chip shots in the back yard, mower and motorcycle rides in the back yard, hunting gophers in the back...
