Not sure what to say?

To Betty and all members of her family,I will never forget DR.Mcbride ,he was the most caring person that I have ever known. He could read me so well he could tell when ever I was having a bad day and lift my spirit in a hurry .He will always be in my heart. Love,Jo Ann Daniels (KITES Cleaners)

Doc was my grandfather, and I do not think I could have wished for a better one. He was a wonderful man, and I loved him dearly. I could talk with him easily and enjoyed hearing about his life, and my family. He was so knowledgable, loving, caring, kind- words cannot describe him adequately. I'm going to miss him so much, but I will always remember him, and the advice he has given me countless times, and which has become my mantra- "Be calm and of a good spirit."

I have many very fond memories of Jimmy as I was growing up. He was the type of doctor I have always wanted to be, and the main inspiration for my becoming a doctor myself. He always seemed so compassionate but also so "in charge". I always enjoyoed his medical case stories. He also was a good friend and mentor. He will be missed., Fondly, Eileen

His warm sense of humor, kindness, and compassion will always be remembered. Our gatherings during my childhood are some of my favorite memories! I loved his smile! He was a blessing. May God comfort his family with His deep strong love.

I first met Jim in 1954 when I was practicing medicine in KY. Later, when I was a first year resident in anesthesiology at Harris,I was called to help him repair a tracheo-esophageal fistula at JPS on a Saturday morning. He did a wonderfuln job and kept me happy in a touchy aneshesia situation.I was fortunate to work with him many times afterwards--always a pleasure. My father-in-law, Reed Speir, a golfer, always spoke so very highly of Jim. Jim McBride will always be remebered and missed.

I have been an emergency room nurse at Baylor All Saints Hospital for 32 years. Dr McBride was one of the nicest people to have ever worked with. He always treated the nurses and patients with the uptmost respect and kindness as well as did his wonderful assistant "Smitty".

Doc was quite a grandfather!
i dont have any amazing stories about how he saved lives but i can tell you about the man i knew. The man i knew was gentle and caring. He could be firm with us but in such a way that we would listen and obey. When the family would go out to dinner (typically to the Origian mexican cafe) my mother and aunts would chat, my dad and uncles would and my sister would entertain herself like most young children do. That usually left doc and I alone. These dinners...

I knew Jimmie basically because of my friendship with his nephew John O'Neill. John was a free fun loving spirit, but Jimmie did not get involved too much in our high school era escapades. Loved Jimmie's parents. Lost contact with Jimmie after World War II

I'd like to express my deepest sympathy to Dr. McBride's family. He was a wonderful doctor and a very caring man.

I met Dr. McBride in 1951, when he began his practice. My doctor refered me to him after another specialist told me that I would only live one more week if I did not let that doctor operate. I had a mass in my chest and nobody knew what it was or how to treat it. Drs. McBride and Tom Bond did not scare me to death; they studied my case and with their good treatment...
