Read MoreI worked with Jim at Monnigs department store when we were teenagers. He was a happy carefree sort of guy. Many years later I ran into him while working at Brook Mays in the violin repair shop. He also worked on my guitar at that time. He was a good guy!

Met Jim about 10 years ago, and he's worked on most of my guitars. Reached out just last year to find he moved to McKinney and told him I would stop by. Dang it. One of the nicest guys you could ever know or do business with. Condolences and prayers for grace for his family. Play it easy, Jim.

I knew Jim when he worked for Monnigs department store in the later 1960’s. He sold clothing in the men’s department, I right next to his department in the boys dept. Jim was a good natured happy guy. I had a motorcycle helmet that he took and expertly pin striped it for me. My memories of Jim are nothing but good!
