Not sure what to say?

We do remember Dr. McCaughan so well and still have the opportunity to share with others what a wonderful, caring doctor he was when he was treating my husband. It has been almost 23 years and he is still here, thanks to the care and treatment of Dr. McCaughan.

I was a friend of Dr McCaughan's late niece, Diane. We went to college together and she talked admiringly of her uncle and his family. I actually learned of her death quite late and when I saw this online today, I wanted to pay my respects.

What a blessing of a man. He shared his expertise with our father in laser therapy and gave him hope. We thank him and pray for him. Such a loss to our world. God bless you, Dr. Mccaughan with peace and love forever.

I worked with Jim earlier in my career. He was an inspiration and a valuable mentor. He was a brilliant physician/surgeon and I feel fortunate to have worked with him at Grant Hospital. He truly cared deeply for his patients. I remember abruptly marching to the nursing administrators office with him so he could voice concerns regarding the care of his patients. Too the family of Dr. James McCaughan, I am so sorry for you loss and grieve with your family.

My husband (Dan Flynn) and I are so sad because we won't be able to attend the memorial service for this great man. We are on an Alaskan cruise and won't be home until July 21st. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you all though.

Dr. McCaughan was the doctor who treated my husband 18 years ago with the photo-dynamic treatment for Esophageal cancer. He is still cancer-free today. He was wonderful to us during all the treatments, laser and continued treatment. He was down-to-earth, honest and cared about his patients. He is a great loss. We understand these treatments are no longer available, but without Dr. McCaughan and the treatments, my husband would not be here today.
