Not sure what to say?

Dr. McClenahan was my friend, I met him as a patient and came to know him as a generous christian man full of life and in talking to him found we attended the same church only at different times. On occasion I would attend the 11am service and have a chance to greet him at church. He was polite to all no matter who you are or your status in life. I enjoyed talking to him, had a chance to have lunch with him mid summer 2010. I am going to truly miss him, God Bless Dr. McClenahan and his...

I just learned of this magnificent Doctor's passing this morning. For the past several days he had been heavy on my mind and thought I'd google him. I'm shocked at Jim's passing. I first became his periodontal patient in 1974 at his Cherry Creek office in Homewood. He is the most brilliant book-smart and hands-on dentist I've ever had, and when he moved to Texas in January 1998, my whole life changed. Not only did I never find again the best of care he had always given me, I so missed...

The void his loss has created can never be filled. His affection, zest for life, positive attitude and ever willingness to mentor will be greatly missed. As a fellow Periodontist I knew him in the last 5 years and am sure, will not ever come across either a person or a Periodontist like him.

I was so sorry to read of Jims death. I served on the School Board with him in Homewood. We had some VERY LONG meetings but he was always able to keep his sense of humor and because I sat next to him was very often in the position of being the only one to hear his remarks and would seem to be laughing for no reason! Of course Jim had a totally innocent look on his face. The world has lost a great guy. My deepest sympathy to all the family.

May his memory be eternal.

with love to his family,
Fr. John and Cheryl Morris

I am sorry to hear about Jim's death. He was a good friend and colleague. He was always full of ideas. Jim enjoyed sharing his vast knowledge not only of dentistry but also on a variety of other subjects.

Mick and I will miss Jim greatly. A man who always had a smile and a positive outlook on everything. This family has lost a great man. Our hearts ache for those left behind.

Godspeed healing and comfort to his family. He will forever be held in high esteem in our hearts and in through our memories.

My sympathies go out to the entire McClenahan Family. Jim will be sorely missed. Pamela Leben Mainous
