Not sure what to say?

Dear Joan,
I just learned about Jim from my sister who still lives in Holyoke. It seems like yesterday that we were back at H.B. Lawrence and I remember Jim was one of the "good guys" then, and as I read the notes in the guest book, he remained that way. We played a lot of basketball, stick ball, and pitch back then. he was good at all, and he made it fun. I will miss him.
Bob Stevens, HHS Class of 1959

Please accept my sincere sympathy. I have fond memories of Jim from HHS.

To the McDermott family I understand the pain! It is hard to believe they are gone but the memories of the good times last forever.

Dear Joan
We send our sincere sympathy to you and all your family as we just learned of Jim's passing on. He will always be remembered for his kindness and gentle spirit. We pray that God give you and your sons the grace to go on and cherish the memories you all had together.

Our love and sympathy,

To the McDermott family:

He was "Mr. McDermott" to me, of course, when I was a student at S. Hadley High School in the 1960's. He was well-respected and liked. After high school, I saw him once or twice, and he always seemed genuinely interested in what I was doing. My condolescences on your loss.
