Not sure what to say?

Dearest Shirley, family members, and friends:

It was very sad to learn of your darling Jim's passing. Please accept my condolences. We know because of our age that there is no amount intellectual preparation that really suffices when a loved one, and particularly a loving, devoted father, grandfather, passes on.

We also know that God will hug you all close and give comfort to all of you at this time. It is the one deeply satisfying comfort at such times--with him...

Shirley & family, I am saddened by your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I remember playing golf with you and Jim at Goose Pond, years ago.
Why would I remember that? You and Jim were such joy to me and made the round memorable for me. I don't remember any scores, but I remember you and Jim. Your kindness to me and making me feel welcome during that time, I never forgot. God Bless you.

Pop-Pop:

I love and miss you. Your Jaybug.

Jay McElwain

Shirley:

You and Jim have been the best in-laws a girl could ever have. You have welcomed me into your family and I have experienced as much love and joy in your family as I do my own. I will miss Jim but will always have the special memories of the times we had together over the past 12 years.

Love You
