Not sure what to say?

Miss you and your mission more and more! Will be thinking and praying for you on your birthday next month!

Father MacFarland is always in our hearts!

Now Our Precious Father Mcfarland has been carried away on the Angel Wings He told us kids so much of in St. Joesphs' Village. I will always have fond memories of him because he got me and my sisters through the hardest & saddest times of being in the Village. My heart is always thankful for his kindness and someday I will meet him again in Heaven; untill then farewell in sweet dreams & memories. Love, Marilee(S.) W. A. Broadway

I went for the wake service and met other former residents of the Village. It was wonderful to see them but I was grateful that I could
go and pay my respects to a great priest who was so good to me
and who was a true Father figure for many of us who were missing
their fathers. Sister Maria Magdalena/A/K/A Nancy Vallellanes class of 1966

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I know that eventually this guest book will close. And because of this, I opened another web site for all who knew Father McFarland and love him. It can be found at - htt://www.topix.com/forum/news-obits. On this web site, the heading is {I would like to start an Obituary Forum & Poll for Rev.James W. McFarland - TOPIX }. To all who love Father - or POP as I lovingly called him, you are welcome to add your comments to Father and about him. I'm sure Father is watching over us! POP, you left...

Fr. McFarland was chaplain for several years at St. Joseph's Village in Rockleigh, NJ where he continued to practice his tradition for providing loving care to children. The former home for dependent children is documented at stjosephsvillage.com. You can also post your memories of the years he spent at the Village at Village Memories at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sjvillage/
He touched so many lives at the Village and I hope he continues to touch many more here in cyberspace.

Dear Father "Mac",
When I was a child in Secaucus, NJ, you helped me get through difficult times. You were there for me and my family when no one else cared. I am deeply thankful for your guidance and your living example of Jesus' call to love one another.

We love you Father McFarland!
