Not sure what to say?

Greatest Teacher ever and, I had some amazing ones throughout my School years. Glad I visited you in the last years. I was blessed to have you, as were many of us Traip students and elsewhere that you taught! RIP Sir RIP

Jim McFeeley was just plain a good math teacher!

Mr. McFeeley taught math and directed plays at Westhampton Beach High School in the late 1940s.
Certainly one those teachers you never forget and want to find late in life to tell them how important he was to you and your classmates.
I am too late.
Classes were never dull, and one day when the small class was on the floor huddled around Don Santangelo who was throwing dice while Eddie Coady was writing the results on the blackboard, the Principal, Edgar Brong suddenly...

I offer my sincere condolences to the family. It was my good fortune to have Mr. McFeeley teach me math for 2 years (Traip '63) because he was without a doubt the best teacher I ever had. Not only could he teach math to anyone and everyone but he also knew exactly when to interject some humor in order to reel back in inattentive kids. I always liked math but Mr. McFeeley turned that like into love during my last 2 years of high school, so much so that I decided to become a math teacher...

I was so sad to hear that Jim had passed. I've known Jim for the past 10 years. I own a residential cleaning business and we've been cleaning his house for a long time. We have always enjoyed our conversations with Jim, I new his partner Eugene as well. I know Jim missed him very much, I hope they are together again and hope they are both resting peacefully together. Very nice man who will be missed very much by all of us here at Quality Cleaning Service!

Dear Mr. McFeeley: Never had you for a teacher but heard great things from both of my brothers! RIP.

I had Mr. McFeely at Traip Academy in Maine in 1968. I have never forgotten him and spoken frequently of his ability to teach a "stone" mathematics. My children have since all graduated from Scarsdale High School. He wa wonderful.

my name is Susan Tucker and I took care of his partner Eugene Kelley I was in Homecare then. I told Mr. Mcfeeley I was Karl Tucker's wife and that he was a student at Traip Academy in the late 60's. Immediately he recognized Karl's name. He asked how he was doing and I told him he was doing fine. That all of his students he had taught especially the class of 1965 were at least 65 years old. I couldn't have taken care of two finer gentleman. my condolences goes out to the families involved....

Cousin Jim on the left with me during our meeting in Sept. 2015 in Maine.

Jim McFeeley is my half 2nd cousin from my mother's Grandy, Truesdell, Thorp, Harmon ancestry lines. I didn't meet Jim until he was 92 in 2015 at his Maine residence. I saw his name in 1930's Van Patten reunion newspaper reports and thought it would be fun to look him up. I treasure the short time we had together discussing ancestors and family and I could see at once the bright intellect that resided in his head. My wife Mira had just finished her 3rd book and we gave him signed copies of...
