Not sure what to say?

Dear Sue & Family,

Only today did we hear of Jim's passing--from noticing Jim's name in the Mass intentions at OLV, which we saw online. (Despite what others may think, church bulletins do make for fascinating reading...) Anyway, we wanted to be sure to send hugs and prayers your way. You were always one of our favorite families on Leamington, and our kids still talk about going to school at OLV. Our kids and yours were vastly different ages, and yet your neighborliness and...

Sue, we just learned today of Jim's passing last month. Sorry we didn't know. He helped me many times as an underwriter and was a dedicated Sentry employee and friend. We'll keep Jim and your family in our prayers.
Fondly, Mary and Bernie Delaney

The McGrath Family,

I was deeply saddened to learn of Mr.McGraths death and I would like to express to you my sincere sadness and sympathies to you and your family at this difficult time.

I hope it comforts you to know that your grief is shared by all of us who knew your dad. He was a wonderful man and he will be sorely missed.

God Speed Mr. McGrath

Mrs. McGrath and family,

My prayers and thoughts are for your entire family. I feel so lucky to have known Mr. McGrath and to have grown up across the street from your wonderful family. So many great childhood and current memories as we continue to stay in touch with everyone when possible. Your family is an incredible family bond to be admired. No one can top all the great block party times either! God bless.

Hey Dad..it's Michael...Krissie myself and the girls just arrived back in St. Louis. All we talked about was the crowd at Cooney's on Sunday night-Dad I know you were looking down on us all Dad and were thinking "all these people for me"?! I don't think you will ever know how many lives you truely touched Dad but it is a true testament to great life you lived and the great Husband, Father, Grand-father and Friend you were to so many.

Dad I could never have been more proud to...

Mr. McGrath, you and your family are a wonderful part of my memories. I feel extremely lucky to have grown up across the street from such a close and loving family and more than a little blessed to still have you in my life today. I will miss you, Mr. McGrath, but oh, what a legacy you have left, both in those who you raised and in those whose lives you touched. Rest well.

Dear Katie & family,

My thoughts & prayers are with you during this difficult time. May you find comfort knowing that your dad is at peace. Take care.

It was a warm Fall day and Mr. McGrath was up near the top of a ladder, working on some project at the back of the house. Right there next to him, dangling on a rung of the ladder, was a small radio.

I inquired, "Mr. McGrath, what are you listening to on the radio?"
He replied, "Why, the Notre Dame game, of course!"

The fond memories are countless, as I spent my "single digit" years living across the alley from the McGrath household. Special feelings abound as...

Auntie Susan and cousins, So wish we could of been there the last few days. There are many memories of Uncle Jim. Will remember is laugh and great smile. His sense of humor and good outlook on life. Always there to lend a helping hand. He is resting in heaven and at peace now. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
