Not sure what to say?

I helped him get into Naval Parachutist School where he earned his Jump Wings in 1985. I was the Training Officer. CWO-4 USMC

So sad to hear of Jim's passing. We met him twice, once in 1997 when he came to the UK to meet my father who sadly died before he got here, but Jim came anyway. We then travelled to Wicomico Church to stay with Jim for a few days the following year. He made us very welcome and took us flying in his beloved Piper Cherokee, also went sailing in his boat. We keep in touch over the years and I became concerned when we didn't get our usual 'round robin' at Christmas. We send our love to all...

To Jim and the rest of the family, we are very sorry for your loss.

Dear McGrath Family, I was very blessed to work with Jim from 2008-2014. He had the best out look on life! I remember him as one of the "boys" always with a good story, a team player, and a hard worker. Thank you for sharing him with us! You all are in my prayers.

To Eileen, Jimmy, Mike and Kay, my condolences on the deaths of your parents, my friends. We shared many happy times with you all. Love and prayers, Kay Eley

Your Dad and Mom and Ed and I had many happy times together. We shared our faith, our family joys and happenings, and our love of our families.
Thank you for letting me know. I was in Pennsylvania and may have missed the opportunity to see you four together honoring Jim just as you did Anne six months ago. They were meant to have you. Love Mary

Jim had many accomplishments in life including building the International Space Station. But he was most proud of his children, and their families. My wife and I will miss his wit and humor and trading stories about our grandkids. Our condolence to the family, but know that Jim left a little of himself with each of us. For that we are thankful.

We are thinking of all of you & wishing you peace & comfort. We have such happy memories of growing up together. Your Mom & Dad have a special place in our hearts.

Working only the last few years with Jim, I will always remember his persistence, his wit, and his humor. Perhaps due to military camaraderie he would sure some very interesting stories of his service. What an amazing life and man. Fair winds and following seas Jim, I am honored for knowing you.
