JAMES JOSEPH MCINNIS

Jim McInnes was a lifelong friend, a role model, and an inspiration. At a young age, I promoted him to the lofty rank of My Favorite Cousin, and in the following years I saw that he was a number of great things to many people. His laugh was infectious, and often imitated. His love of his family was ever present as was his wisdom, wit, and kindness. His daughters were his greatest treasures and treasure them he did. Jim and I met the first day at Merrimack College. Our wives, Carol and Ann went to Salem State together and were good friends. Jim and I became good friends for life and our children became friends. Carolyn calls us the McManey families. He often reminded me that he was older than me. Just 3 months. My family loved to visit Jim at his house in Brewster each summer. What can I say, Jim's passing is a big loss for me as well as his family.
