I remember Fr. McKitrick encouraged us to be of service in this world. One summer we went to Pineville, Kentucky & engaged in community organizing. I owe my service ethic to Fr. McKitrick & will always be grateful to him l.

We knew Father when he was at St. Thomas The Apostle in Crystal Lake. He was always very thoughtful and kind to our family. Very smart and wise.. When he moved to St. Catherine of Siena's in Dundee, he often would send newspaper clippings about our kid's school sporting events. God will certainly have an important role for him in Heaven. Father McKitrick was an important inspiration in my undergraduate years at Northern Illinois University during the 1960´s. Through his encouragement, I learned the value of community service as a foundation for living a spiritual life that has brought peace & happiness. May Father McKitrick Rest In Peace.
