Not sure what to say?

Jimmy's son Keith and daughter Jamie were elementary and high school classmates of mine during their residence in Miami Springs so many years ago. I remember fondly the impromptu banana seat bike races around the cul de sac they lived on, which Jimmy would referee and checker flag for all of the neighborhood kids. I haven't seen or spoke to the McLendon family in many , many years. My heart felt condolences go out to them all. He was a great man.

It was a pleasure to get to know Jimmy as he shared the hall with my mom-Ann Johnson-at Courtyard Gardens, Jimmy was a sweet man and thank you to his wife Anne and his daughter for pouring out their love and attention on my mom each time they passed her in the hallway. Blessings to you and my deepest condolances~

I had the privelage of meeting Jimmy through my sister. After meeting him I could see his charm, caring thoughts and sense of humor that she was so fond of. He will be so missed by his family and friends but will keep the candle lit in our hearts forever. I am sure he and Sue are tearing up heaven as we speak. Forever in our hearts!!!

The few years I lived in Miami growing up were very memorable. Time spent at the McLendon household was always enjoyable! If it was an evening or a weekend, chances were that you would catch Mr. Mclendon sitting in his chair, paper in hand, and a smile on his face! Always eager to tease or kid with you. Whether kids were in the pool, or he was in the driveway with Keith and the white Nova, he always seemed to be in a good mood. Even when I would see him and Keith jogging on the golf course!...

Jaime & Family, We are so truly sorry for your loss our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Steve, Shirley & Harley Boyd

I will always remeber Mr. McLendon as being so sweet and for putting up with all of us girls always in his house and in his pool .... day and night. ANY day was a good day to stop by and visit. He provided a very happy home that I didn't have and I just always loved to be there in his. Such a very sweet man. He will be missed. My deepest condolensces to Mrs. McLendon, Keith and Jaime.

To my dear friends Anne, Jaime, and Keith...There are no words to express my broken heart for you all right now! Jimmy was such a special man! Even up to my last visit, he could bring a smile to my face. He is in Heaven with a host of angels surronding him right now, I have no doubt! This world is a better place because of him being part of it. May God bless you all at this difficult time and be comforted by the love of family and friends! I love you all so much, Lynn and family!

It is very difficult to explain the love I have for my father. He was the kindest, most caring, fun, loving man anyone could ever meet. He put a smile on everyone's face who knew him. I am so proud to be his daughter and could only hope I can touch others lives like he has. I adore you dad and my heart will always hold you so close. I love love love you forever!!!!!

I had the good fortune to meet Jimmy years ago and I bought my first home computer system from him after some good conversation and some chuckles, too. Jimmy had only good in him and he was a soft spoken, very kind person who loved his family and cared for his friends, in many ways, like a brother.

Please accept my family's deepest condolences for your loss. Know that Jimmy inspired many around him, so his legacy as a great family man includes the many others that he touched with...
