Not sure what to say?

Jay was my friend. I will miss him.
He was larger than life and a great friend.

Great neighbor, excelled at sports, I remember him when we lived in Portland I’m in the house behind them. We crawl through the fence, to see each other. After a while we just remove that section of the fence, and both our families became great friends. This was in 1956 to 1961. Those years remind me of the show “stand by me “. They were some of the best years. Rest in peace Jim.
Duane Fleck.

Although I wasn't in his circle of friends I can say he was always smiling. I think a person that smiles says a lot about themselves. My condolences.................Curtis Wiese, class of 66.

We grew up together. I will miss him. RIP

I also attended St Peter's school in the 5-7 grades and graduated with him from Central Catholic HS in 1966. He was a great football player. I am sorry to hear he suffered from ALS. My prayers are for his family and all his friends.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the McMahan family. I had many laughs with Jay. I just loved it when we hooked up during spring training. One year he came down a week early and we went to Laughlin had a great time. When Thomas was in 5th grade Jay asked me if he could play basketball at Archbishop Howard . I said if you help coach and he did. And he loved it. I think Thomas was the best player. I will miss Jay Bird. RIP

Jay was a great friend. So sorry to hear of his passing. Many great memories of him. He'll be missed.

We are saddened by the loss of “Jay” our hearts go out to all of his family & friends. Thank you for serving our country during the Vietnam War. He will be greatly missed.
