James R. McManus

The McManus home at #1 Country Club Drive, Mill Valley, was a second home for me in my youth and I remember fondly many evenings full of humor and stimulating conversation. Hanging out in their kitchen, you could join in on discussions ranging from the current political races to the fate of California Brandy or IBM(mind the second hand smoke). And laughs, laughs, laughs. Jim, your spirit, wit and personal chemistry live on.

I was saddened to read of Jim's passing. We spent many enjoyable moments together on and off the golf courses of the Bay Area. While International Sales Promotion Director with Fromm & Sichel, Inc. (worldwide Distributors of The Christian Brothers wines and brandies) I recommended and fully supported his appointment as President of the California Brandy Advisory Board.
