I knew Jim for about three years at Virginia Tech. We became very good friends and in fact were roommates for several quarters. Along with two other friends all four of us were co-op students working for NASA. Although my co-op stints were at the Goddard Space Flight Center while Jim and the others co-oped at Marshall.
