Not sure what to say?

I knew him well what a great guy he was, as Sheriff he would stop at the shop just to visit and when he went to Lansing the same. I consider him to be one of Midland's heroes .

Jim McNutt was a good friend and boss. He hired me at the Sheriff´s department, and was a great man to work for. When he left the Sheriff´s department to become State Representative, we stayed in touch and became hunting buddies on the Square Mile Club, and during turkey season. I had many good times with Jim, and he will be greatly missed. Jeff Fox

Our Prayers and Sympathy to the family ~ Remember your Dad as a great man and neighbor. I baby sat 2 or 3 of you girls, when you lived on Jefferson Rd, back in the 60's. Also, he was my husband's probation officer 1968 - early 70's, and says he was a fine man! God Bless you all! Diana & Jim Card

Worked with Jim many years and always found him knowledgeable and friendly. Two different Law enforcement departments but always worked towards better goals for both agencies. He will be missed

Family, we are saddened to hear Sheriff McNutt has passed. He & Lovey were a joy to those who knew them. Regards, Brad & Shelley Hobbs

A very respected, dedicated and friendly person. We'll miss seeing you at St Brigid. Rest in peace

Sorry for thr families loss. Jim was a great man. He was a great friend to my dad.

I will forever remember James humor, welcoming smile, and his love for his grandchildren. We had an ongoing joke about a pet horse that to this day cracks me and the flores family up. Sending so much love. May he rest in peace

Sure did love his great smile along with the giggle. a really good way to remember him along with his singing.
