General McPartlin will surely be missed but not forgotten. My father and I made friends with General McPartlin at the DFW Welcome Home. It was an honor to have met such a special man. May he rest in peace.

It was an honor, a privilege, and a source of joy to have known General McPartlin these past 7 years. He was such a warm and humble man, as are all the veterans I've met through Honor Flight. His was without doubt The Greatest Generation, and the accomplishments those boys achieved during the war is mindboggling. He was an amazing man. My condolences and prayers are with his family.
