MCQUEEN, James E. Jr. “Jimmy” - Of Burton, age 60, died Saturday, January 2, 2016 at his residence.





A Celebration of Life will be held 1pm Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,





Deacon Ron Kenney officiating.



 



Cremation has taken place.



 



In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for Jaime Lynn’s Scholarship Fund.



 



Visitation 11am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.



 



Jimmy was born in Flint on December 24, 1955, the son of the late James Sr. and Marian McQueen and was a resident of the Flint area most of his life. He was employed at General Motors Buick City for 31 years and was a member of UAW Local 599.



 



Surviving are wife, Michelle;



 



daughter, Jaime Lynn;



 



step-son, Jordan James (Takeiya);



 



sister, Dayna (Clifford) Thompson, brother, Matthew McQueen, sister, Sally (Jim) Stuart and Diane (Keith) Cain;



 



and several nieces and nephews.



 



He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Patsy Abbott and step-brothers, Michael and Jeff Abbott.

Jim was a good friend to everyone. Miss you brother.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Jamie but Jim spoke of her often and and with pride. She was his greatest joy! I hope she finds comfort in knowing how much he loved her. May he rest in peace.
